Suitable candidates are typically over 40 years old, have a stable vision prescription, and good eye health. A comprehensive eye examination by a qualified ophthalmologist can determine if PRESBYOND is right for you.

PRESBYOND is a laser treatment designed to improve near vision for people with presbyopia, a condition that makes it hard to see close-up objects as we get older. During the procedure, a special laser reshapes the cornea, allowing it to focus light properly on the retina.

Using this method, we adjust one eye to focus mainly on distant objects with some ability to see things up close, and we adjust the other eye to focus mainly on close-up objects with some ability to see things far away. The brain combines these two images, allowing you to see both near and far more clearly.

This provides excellent depth perception and overall vision without requiring glasses or contact lenses.

With a medical degree from Stellenbosch University, a specialist degree from the University of Cape Town, and experience working in renowned Laser Eye Surgery centres in Canada, Germany, India and London, I’m dedicated to providing top-tier care.
